Christmas randoms...

J and I looked so forward to Christmas this year because we thought Lincoln would be excited to open presents. We were careful to wrap his gifts in such a way to be easy for him to tear into, and we thought we did a fairly good job of choosing toys that he would like (currently, he loves anything he can stack, line up, or gather in a bucket-even a bag of groceries will occupy him for an hour or more at times...which might be how I got my Christmas presents wrapped).  At each gathering, he'd watch as his stack of presents grew as they were passed out, but he really couldn't have cared less about opening them.  As a matter of fact, it took him most of last week to open the 5 that were wrapped from us.  He seemed to like playing with toys once they were opened (which is different -it usually takes him some time to warm up to new things), but it was fine with him for someone else to open them up.

As a matter of fact, he even fell asleep opening a gift on Christmas Eve at my parents' house.

Can't you just see the tired in that face?
Going, going...
...gone

Oh, and we didn't like Santa this year, either...

Hope you had a merry Christmas!
