Happy Want-To-Be-a-Mother's Day

Mother's Day.......a day of mourning for those of us struggling with infertility. Don't get me wrong, I'm quite thankful for my mother, but we had a bit of "motherly" overkill at church this morning. I was feeling very overwhelmed by all the "I'm thankful for all the mothers" comments, and thought I would choke on my own tears before we went to our Sunday School classes. (I've never been so thankful to get to class in all my life.)

I've never had such a distaste for a holiday before. This is the second Mother's Day since my DH and I started trying to conceive our first child, and I'm suprised at how bitter I've been. DH doesn't seem to understand why I'm so upset by this day. Just wait until Father's Day...
